The brand new MSC World America just launced, and we've just returned from being some of the first onboard. For travelers looking for a budget-friendly way to cruise on a brand new ship, MSC World America is a great fit -- with starting fares that are more wallet-friendly than many other brand new ships.
But beyond the fares, there's a ton to do onboard that's absolutely FREE! Aside from the norms like the main dining room and evening entertainment, here are a list of our favorite free things to do on MSC World America:
1. 🍕 Pizza & Burger: Located in the Galleria, this quick-serve restaurant offers exactly what it says (plus a bit more) -- and it's all free! Tip: Look for the specialty Eataly pizza offerings -- there will be at least one each day at Pizza & Burger that you can grab at no charge!
2. 🌿 Botanic Garden: A true oasis onboard, the Botanic Garden is a great place to enjoy the beautiful pool under a retractable roof, hop in one of the hot tubs, or just lounge on one of the swinging daybeds.
3. 🛝 Top Deck Activities: The Harbour, located on the top deck, is full of fun for all ages. Waterslides, a rope course and even the Jaw Drop dry slide are all up there -- and all totally free of charge. There is *one* exception to free, though (more on that below).
4. 🍭 Cotton Candy: If you make your way to The Promenade, keep an eye out for the cotton candy cart, where you can score freshly-made cotton candy at no additional cost!
5. ✨ Ocean Cay Lighthouse Light Show: When staying overnight at MSC's private island, you'll be treated to an ultra-special lightshow onshore at night. The Lighthouse lights up the sky with a DJ on the beach making it a party you won't soon forget.
BONUS: While it's not free, The Cliffhanger over-water swing has caught the eye of many. We tried it during our sailing and can vouch that the ride's $5 cover charge is well worth it -- if you're into that kind of thing.
