We're just back from sailing on the brand-new MSC World America's inaugural sailing and are sharing which 5 spaces onboard we loved the most.
1. Top Deck Attractions: From the ropes course to waterslides, the top deck is adrenaline-filled -- and an added perk: most of the rides up there are free. The one exception is Cliffhanger -- the first over-water swing ride at sea. But even that comes in at a very fair (and worth it, based on our experience!) cost of $5.
2. The Thermal Suite & Spa: One of the most comprehensive we've seen at sea, the line knocked it out of the park with its spa & thermal suite area. From an Iyashi Dome infrared sauna and Ganbanyoku beds that promote circulation & detoxification, to a salt room, sauna and snow room -- they've got it all.
3. Multiple Pools: The pool options onboard are plentiful, and include a nicely-sized main pool, the Botanic Garden pool -- a spectacular oasis under a retractable roof, with hot tubs and swinging daybeds, and the adult-only Zen Area with tons of space and two pools.
4. The Loft: This space was a hotspot on our sailing, it's a versatile space where you can catch a comedy show, dueling pianos and karaoke. Tip: Get there early! Guests were lining up when we arrived for dueling pianos, 20 minutes before the doors opened.
5. The Yacht Club: MSC's Yacht Club is consistently rated the "Best Suite Complex" by Cruise Critic's editors, and MSC World America has the largest one yet. Booking a cabin in the Yacht Club comes with perks like a dedicated concierge desk, a butler, private areas for YC guests only -- a lounge, restaurant, outdoor grill and pool. Plus thoughtful inclusions like a beverage package, premier internet and entrance to the Thermal Suite.
