Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Preview: Heroes & Villains
Disney Cruise Line released some pretty ✨HUGE✨ details about its upcoming ship #DisneyDestiny which launches later this year — and we were on tap to grab the full scoop.
Here’s what we know:
💥 The ship has an epic theme of “Heroes & Villains” — which the line’s Imagineers have totally leaned into.
💥 As soon as you board the ship, you’ll enter the Grand Hall — where the mood & lighting will change when different heroes and villains enter. What kind of villains will be onboard? We’re hearing: Loki, Dr. Facilier, Maleficent and Cruella De Vil’s.
💥 Black Panther will be the main hero celebrated with a statue in the Grand Hall.
💥 The ship’s themed-bar The Sanctum is based on Dr. Strange — leaning heavily into craft cocktails like Circle of the Cosmos (Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, lemon juice) and Vapors of Valtorr (Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, butterfly pea flower syrup).
💥 De Vil’s Piano Lounge is high glamour — as you’d expect — with drinks like the Fashionista (strawberry & banana-infused Patron Anejo Cristalino Tequila with banana liquor, agave nectar & fresh lime juice) and character appearances by the villain herself where she’ll invite guests on the runway for a fun critique.
💥 Edna A La Mode Sweets is tied to Edna Mode of The Incredibles — except her sewing machine has been repurposed to make pastries & desserts onboard (dream come true?!).
💥 As always on a Disney Cruise, the magic is in the details — from the superhero badge room numbers, to the debut of several collections of merch (including Hero Minnie!).
