4 Things to Never Do the First Day of a Cruise (Plus One Thing to Always Do!)
There are just some things you shouldn't do the first day of your cruise -- here's why:
❌ DON'T head straight to the buffet: It's one of the most crowded places on embarkation day.
❌ DON'T automatically eat dinner in the main dining room: Specialty restaurants are often less crowded and -- on some lines -- carry a reduced cover charge.
❌ DON'T take the elevator if you don't need to: They're super slow on embarkation day -- you might be waiting awhile.
❌ DON'T skip the muster drill: The ship won't leave until you're checked in.
✅ DO take a tour of your ship: Get your bearings and decide which venues and spots you'd like to hit first (we recommend starting at the top and working your way down!).
