Top 4 Restaurants in Bay Islands, Honduras (Roatan and Utila)

I get tons of questions from my readers about where to eat in each of the places I visit. So here is a compilation of four options that you will find when you visit the Bay Islands on Honduras.

But before you go on reading, keep in mind that here you won’t find huge, luxurious restaurants. These islands offer small beach towns with tons of small eateries. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t find world-class food and a few of the best local dishes.

Where to Eat in the Bay Islands?

Roatan Restaurants

1. Roatan Oasis

The restaurant is located in West End Roatan and their menu offers dishes inspired by tons of different cultures from all over the world. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but they serve good food at a reasonable price. Plus, the menu changes every week.

The staff here is friendly, and you might even run into the owners while they help serve and socialize with their customers.

The decoration is simple and the ambiance is fun. Because of all of these reasons, it is often full so making a reservation in advance would be a good idea.

2. Creole’s Rotisserie Chicken – Roatan

You will also find this one in West End. It offers dishes that are a little more traditional to the area. This is one of those little places where you get a huge amount of food for a great price. The owners are also often among customers, making sure that everything is going smoothly.

If you come here, don’t forget to try their rice and beans. It is one of their signature dishes. Their desserts also seem to be quite popular.

I am not sure if they take reservations but if you can, definitely do it, because it is also popular and tends to fill out quickly.

3. Jungle Cafe

Yet again, this is a small restaurant. This one has garden seating and offers live music on Friday nights. Their menu also changes weekly and all of the ingredients used in the preparation of the dishes they serve are organic and locally produced.

The food is good, at a great price, the ambiance is fun and the staff is friendly. You truly can’t go wrong while visiting this lively place.

4. Utila Tea Cup

These guys offer an extensive and interesting variety of tea, hot and cold. Some of the arrangements they make to the dishes are also creative. Their desserts are also well known in the area.

This place is very cozy, with a relaxed ambiance and even an art gallery on the upper floor. It is a great place to hang out and spend the afternoon just relaxing.
