This New Hotel Regulation Raises Concerns In CancunIn Cancun, business people have expressed their concerns about the regulation of the “all-inclusive” tourism model.
In Cancun, businessmen from the tourism sector are expressing their concerns about the proposed regulation of the “all-inclusive” model, a successful concept in Caribbean hotels that has gained popularity worldwide.
According to Eduardo Martínez González, President of the Caribbean Business Coordinating Council, it is felt that this regulation could be detrimental to the tourism industry.
Martínez González emphasizes the importance of this regulation for the promotion of the tourism industry, as it is a key model for offering products that meet current needs.
The president of the Caribbean Business Coordinating Council warns of the danger of over-regulating this successful sales format and argues that many hotels have adopted this approach to maintain their competitiveness and attract a sufficient number of tourists.
Last April, the National Tourism Business Council (CNET) expressed its concerns in a letter to the Senate of the Republic.
With the aim of increasing occupancy, more and more hotels in the south of Quintana Roo are joining the “all-inclusive” concept. However, this idea differs from that offered in the north of the state.
Here, the guests can eat and drink in the different restaurants that have joined this strategy, as well as enjoy activities outside the hotel facilities.
According to Luis González Salazar, Director of Tourism Development in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, this type of “all-inclusive” offer is very popular with tourists as they can enjoy a different experience.
