TODAY'S ADVENTURE
Pirate Ship Florida Tour: All About the AwesomeWhat to do with kids while visiting grandparents is always a concern for me. Chances are, eventually, after the initial excitement of opening presents and being doted on 24 hours a day wear off, I’m faced with kids constantly asking me, “What do we do now?”
West Palm Beach is a great area with tons of family activities to chose from – like museums, parks, zoos, etc… But finding a unique adventure that will be remembered by both my two-year-old and eight-year-old is quite challenging. One thing about Florida is the water tours that are offered, and who would have thought you can sail a real live Pirate Ship?
When I found Black Sparrow Pirate tours I was on it so fast I amazed myself! And this was, without a doubt, one of the best couple of hours we spent while hanging out in Palm Beach.
It all starts on the docks. You are greeted by two pirates and a girl helper where you are signed in.
And tattooed. This was such a fun experience for my sons, but I’m not sure that all kids would like that, especially small ones. But it was great to have this option as part of the adventure.
Plus put on your pirate face!
Another cool tough for those kids who are really into pirates or who love going deep on role-playing.
When kids are ready, it is time to get the Pirate Code explained. If not followed, you walk the plank!
Rule #1 – All hands on Deck – order must be maintained.
Now down to business – it is time to get started with the treasure map.
It is a puzzle, so you need to build it first.
Now it is time for some teamwork until you all are able to Figure out where the treasure is.
Oh, Wait! They got a secret message in a bottle.
You want to know what it says, right?
Well, it says that someone stole the key to the treasure, and we need to find them and get it back.
Finally! Looks like we found the boat and thief, now time to fight for it.
After a good fight, the other pirate finally surrenders.
Now to find the buried treasure. Follow the map to the X – and bam, we found something.
Where’s my loot?
No good Pirate Ship is over till you do the Limbo Rock!
So what do you think? Do you think it’s fun? Can you just tell me how excited I was over this tour? Yes, I gave you good details about it. But trust me, it’s like an amusement park. You know you’re going on rides, but it’s nothing like the real deal.
I didn’t do more than just looking from afar, but I had as much fun as my sons.
So get your kids on this boat now! It is worth it!
My Take On It:
We do tons of tours and adventures with my kids each year. I have to say this was by far one of the best for both of my boys. The non-stop action and interaction even had my two-year-old totally immersed. This is one of those tours you HAVE TO DO when Florida. Your kids will love it.
NOTE: If you have kids under 10, take them now. They will be soooo amused and involved. I think once they hit the double-digit ages it might be a little too kiddy like for them. That’s why it was the perfect tour for my family!
Here is everything you need to know to be able to contact them and do this tour.
