This luxurious lakeside mansion was designed by Stephen Sauvestre, the architect best known for having designed the Eiffel tower. Chateau de Promenthoux was built in 1896 as the summer home for Jean-Philippe Worth, son of Charles-Frederic Worth, the esteemed fashion designer and founder of the French house of high fashion The House of Worth.
