Best Places to Visit in Hawaii

Hawaii is a US State located over the northernmost island group of Polynesia, in the central Pacific Ocean. Its warm climate and amazing beaches have been a magnet to travelers from all over the world for a long time. Here you will check out 4 places to visit in Hawaii with the family.

However, tons of tourists don’t go out to explore. They tend to stay in the resorts. Why would they? There are all sorts of amenities and fun things to do in the resorts.

Well, Hawaii has tons of other amazing places to visit with the family. So don’t stick to the resort and nearest beach. Go out and explore. Don’t worry about transportation. There are plenty of transportation options for getting around in Hawaii. Don’t miss out on its beauties.

USS Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor

Steeped in history, the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor sees millions of tourists each year to remember the moment that World War II was brought to America. Given the significance of the region, it’s easy to see why. The visitor center is completely free to enter, and so is the memorial, so there’s no reason not to go and soak up the knowledge at this historic place.

The remains of the USS Arizona are used as a monument to honor everyone who died during the Pearl Harbor attack. There are guided tours that include a documentary film.

Take a tour of Oahu

Oahu is one of Hawaii’s larger islands, and easily one of the most beautiful. From the expansive, rugged coastline of the North Shore area, to the stunning beachfront of Waikiki in Honolulu, there’s plenty to keep you occupied no matter what time of year you visit. To experience the best of Oahu, you can book Private Oahu Tours. You’ll find tons of water activities to do, and you can hike through dormant volcanoes; it’s easy to spend your whole vacation just on the island of Oahu.

Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park

If you are looking for stunning views but also a region rich in cultural history, then the Na Pali coastline on Kauai will definitely check all of those boxes. This area was once home to Hawaiian royalty, but also boasts some spectacular scenery and some of the widest varieties of flora and fauna that you’ll see on any of the islands. One of the better ways to visit this region is by boat, and you can partake in many water activities like snorkeling along the way.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

If you love marine life, a visit to this park is a must. The bay used to be severely damaged, but after a lot of work, its ecosystem was restored. The reserve offers amazing snorkeling and swimming opportunities.

Haleakala National Park

Situated on the island of Maui, Mt. Haleakala is a dormant volcano that sits over 10,000 feet tall. For the outdoorsy types, Mt. Haleakala offers tons of camping and hiking and is known as one of the coolest regions on any of the islands. The volcano is a popular place to watch the sunrise and sunset, and you may need to make a reservation well in advance. There are lots of options depending on how much time you want to spend on the volcano, so make sure you read up on what you want to do before you go.

The park also preserves a volcanic area, but it is also a great place for spending some time in the middle of the forest and checking out the Freshwater pools (you can swim in some of them).

Lana’i

Perhaps the island of Lana’i isn’t one that you think about when you dream about your Hawaiian vacation, but maybe it should be. The privately-owned island is known as the Pineapple Isle, due to the history of pineapple growing on the island. One of the best things about visiting this island is that you’ll be far away from the tourist horde and free to partake in the sightseeing and water activities in peace.

It’s no surprise that Hawaii is on many people’s bucket lists, as the islands offer a tropical escape from everyday life. With eight islands to choose from and miles upon miles of stunning coastline, Hawaii is the epicenter for people who love to be out in nature. We hope that our list helps you plan your perfect Hawaiian vacation.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

This one is located on the Big Island. It is where you will find the world’s most active volcano and dramatic views. The Hawaii volcanoes national park is the place to visit if you are looking for a unique experience.
