TODAY'S ADVENTURE
5 Best Activities in the US for Adventure JunkiesAdventurers are always looking for something to try that can provide them with an experience of a lifetime. And when we talk about traveling and looking for adventurous activities, there’s no better place than the US. If you are looking for such experiences too, I’ll list below five of the best adventurous activities in the United States that you can try.
Base Jumping is a fusion between skydiving and cliff jumping. Base jumping is considered extremely daring because you jump off from a lower altitude and you have less time to deploy your parachute. Jump off Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls in Idaho, which is the only place in the USA where it is legal to jump without any money or permit.
The stratosphere jump, where you free fall from such a tall jumping, has become a very popular activity among daredevils. Sky Jumping in Las Vegas is a controlled decelerator descent. This Sky Jumping is done from the world’s tallest observation tower. The riders are given a short safety lesson and are then suited up in a Stratosphere custom jumpsuit. After they are connected to a patented high-speed descender machine, the diver is led to the edge of a platform where they will leap out and descend down the Stratosphere Tower. The effects are somewhat similar to bungee jumping. Just before you are about to reach the ground, the machine will automatically slow you down a little, so the landing is controlled. Other than skydiving, there are many other recreational sports that you must try when in Las Vegas.
This zip line at Hunter Mountain is the highest and longest zip line in North America and the second longest in the world. There are other zip line tours also available, but this is the one that thrill seekers go for. As you whizz above the Catskill, you can reach a speed of 50 miles per hour. You have to learn the necessary skills at Zipline Pilot Training School. The zip line reached 600 feet in the air which provides a 360-degree view of the whole valley. You will be secured to the course with a secure harness, and off you go!
Yosemite National Park is among the best places in the world for people who love rock-climbing. It is one of the most daring and challenging experiences. Every year, many climbers come to this place to undertake this difficult task. Just the sight of that humongous steep mountain can be dizzying for most. The most crucial climb lies between the southwest and southeast faces of El Capitan. The mountain is 3000 feet tall and climbing it is not an easy feat.
Zero-G is the next best thing for people who love space and everything about it. Nothing beats this epic experience of weightlessness in a Boeing 727. This is being considered as the most convincing simulation of any commercial space flight. After the process is repeated, a rather strange and exhilarating experience is created. Without any doubt, this is an experience that cannot be re-created anywhere else but space.
These activities are sure to give you the adrenaline rush you need.
